Merry Christmas!
I thought I'd share my Christmas Tablescape on this Tablescape Tuesday!
This year I decided to go with a red and white theme. It just felt so crisp and nice for this season!
I used a plain white tablecloth and decorated it with a red and white chevron wrapping paper runner I found a the Dollar Tree. You can't beat a cute table runner for 1 dollar!
My centerpiece was a red tray from Goodwill. Inside the tray were all kinds of goodies. The red candleholder in the center was a Michael's purchase last year. To the side are two double-bud vases also from Michael's. Instead of putting flowers in them, though, I topped them with sparkly ornaments. Lining the bottom is silver tinsel, silver curly ribbon, more ornaments, and some battery-operated lights that twinkled so nicely in the tray!
The Charger plates were a Walmart purchase a couple years ago, topped with a white dinner plate and white dinner bowl (Dollar tree 2 years ago) crystal goblets and a red and white polka dot bread plate (Ross).
For the backdrop, I put two white christmas trees on some white columns on both sides of the hutch. They are decorated with red tinsel and ornaments, and white lights. I love how they turned out.
Here's another view of the other side looking into the living room, also decorated in red and white for Christmas. To see a better view of the living room. You can check out my post here.
Wishing you a very Happy Holiday season and a very prosperous New Year!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Monthly Monday Mantle - Christmas Mantle!
Where has this year gone? I can not believe that Christmas is almost here!
This post is late in coming, but I hope you'll enjoy seeing what I did with our mantle this year for Christmas!
Having a mantle to decorate this year has been so much fun!
I wanted to go with a red and white theme! I was just really liking those colors together this year!
I was really wanting some sparkle and shine this year with the red and white, so I incorporated some silver into the mix.
Using some inexpensive dollar tree items and items from thrift stores along with things I already had and a few craft projects, this came together for not too much money.

HappyThanksgiving! Thanksgiving Tablescape!
Hi there!
First of all, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Ours has been good. My mother came into town with a good friend of our family's and my neice! So with a total of 7 of us for dinner, I wanted to have a nice table set up for the special dinner.
I had a Fall/Thanksgiving Tablescape all set up, but as the date was approaching, I was realizing I wanted a little change from our traditional Thanksgiving Tablescapes I've done in the past. So...I decided last minute to switch things up a bit! And here is what I came up with.
The Centerpiece has a silver candleabra from Michaels, with White pillar candles wrapped with the remaining burlap fabric from the table runner, some silver curling ribbon and a little silver and white sparkle medalion (one fell off, as you can see...haha!) on either side of those are my white Ikea pillar candle holders, and on the sides of those are these cute little lidded pumpkin bowls I found at Goodwill. Such a great find! Also, there were little glass tealight holders throughout the center of the table to give it some glow.
Each place setting had my Walmart Silver Charger plates, my white dinner plates and bowls from the Dollar Tree, my little Pier 1 flower bowls (which I ended up using as individual butter dishes for each guest.) I also used the white napkins with these cute silver napkin rings (6 for $1 at the Dollar Tree!) and my "fancy silverware" from Goodwill (another great find!)
It was a blessing to have family here for Thanksgiving and to serve them at this table! We all had a lot to be thankful for and we got to share some of the things we were thankful for at the table! It was a nice time!
Now, I'm going to lie down for a bit, because I stuffed myself so full of turkey and fixins, that I'm feeling the need to loosen my pants and kick back for a while! haha!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I've been wanting to do a burlap tablescape for a while, and I found some nice burlap runner fabric at Walmart the other day, so I decided to pick it up. After seeing a few pretty burlap tablescapes on Pinterest, I decided to put my own little twist on one.

TABLESCAPE TUESDAY - FALL/THANKSGIVING Table
Hi and welcome to another TABLESCAPE TUESDAY!
It's been a while! I can't believe how busy things have been over the last few months...but I'm certainly not complaining. It's been chocked full of good things, but still chocked full! lol
Anyway, I thought I'd share with you my tablescape for Fall/Thanksgiving.
Fall is well underway, and the temperatures are changing.
The weather is getting a little (ok, a LOT) chillier!
The leaves on the trees have been turning the prettiest colors!
I wanted to capture some of those lovely colors in my Fall tablescape.
I hope you enjoy, and I want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving and HAPPY FALL, Y'ALL!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

On the Mantle Monday - Fall Mantle
Hi Everyone!
Well, it's been a great summer and start to the Fall season, but unfortunately NONE of it included blogging...lol. I just can't believe how fast the months flew by and that it's already a month into Autumn!!!
To celebrate, I'd like to share with you my FALL MANTLE
I absolutely love fall! I love the cooler weather after a hot summer, I love that many of my loved ones have Birthdays in the fall, and I LOVE THE COLORS!!! Fall is such a fun time to decorate and I have a huge bin designated for my fall decor! I just love it!!!
For my fall mantle, I FINALLY got my mirror up (not HUNG up, but just standing up over the mantle...lol)
On each end is a white IKEA pillar candleholder with some small pumpkin ceramics on them. My hope is to switch those out for a couple real pumpkins soon.
Next to those are some glass cylinders with some fall ornaments that I got on major clearance after the Holidays a few years ago, and next to THOSE are some festive fall pumpkins, both thrift store finds!
I always enjoy spending time in this room, but even more so in the fall season, because the colors with the white just look so pretty to me! I love it!!!
Also, as an added bonus, I wanted to show you my fall entry table. Every season I dress up these pillar candle holders for the season. Here's what I came up with for the fall. The ribbons and the little jewel pendants were all from Joann Fabrics. I simply wrapped the ribbons around and secured them with hot glue. Then I hot glued the little pendants in the middle of the smaller ribbon. I think it adds a nice elegant touch, and it makes a nice entryway look.
I have since traded out that orange pumpkin (which didn't seem to fit for me) for a white leaf bowl, and have replaced the candles in the glass cylinders with CANDY!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today's ON THE MANTLE MONDAY! Have a great day, and HAPPY FALL!!!! =D

On either side of the fireplace are these tall white "vases" with some fall flowers. These vases were from Kirklands, but were not white, so I got them for a good deal and then spray painted them white. They came out pretty good!
I continued the "fall florals" on our coffee table with a nice bouquet I found at Goodwill last year! The plain glass vase didn't look the best with all the fake stems so I wrapped some sparkly fall garland around them loosely, and also added some to the "tray" on the table (which is actually an old Mirror from Goodwill, where the glass was sliding around. It soon became a nice tray instead of hanging on the wall! lol

TABLESCAPE TUESDAY - Mother's Day May Tablescape!
Good Morning!
I hope all you mothers out there had a great Mother's Day. We had my parents in law in town for the weekend and it was a nice day. We decided to skip the crowded restaurants and have a nice Sunday Family Dinner at home!
For this, I decided to go ahead and put my May Tablescape together! I wanted to have something cheerful and flowers for the month of May, and one of my favorite color combos quickly came to mind!
I love blue and white with yellow....it just seemed like a very cheerful option for this table!
I put my April Cornell Table runner that I got last year from HomeGoods on an ivory tablecloth that I've had forever. That kind of set the tone.
Since I only had 4 blue and white toile dishes, I decided to do some eclectic matching with my settings.
The first setting was my white Dollar Tree plate, my blue and white toile salad plate that I found at Marshalls last year, I believe, and a Dollar Tree yellow bowl.
The alternating setting was my white Dollar Tree plate, a yellow salad plate and my blue toile bowl from Ross last year. It worked ok for this setting, although I do wish I could have had everything matching!
The Blue napkins were from Joann's fabrics on super sale around Christmas time (I believe they were from Hannukah....it is such a rich, beautiful blue, I couldn't resist! =) )
For my centerpiece, I wanted it low so we could all see across the table. I ended up getting out my large blue and white toile bowl and filled it with blue and yellow flowers.
On each side of that were two raised jar candles with these cute little mosaic lampshades I found at Goodwill last month. I placed them on two low pillar candle holders from Ikea for a little height.
Our family seemed to enjoy this dinner a lot. We had a family favorite which we introduced to my in-laws and they loved. Angel Chicken! Always a hit. Here is a link to that recipe.
Thanks again for joining me for another Tablescape Tuesday! I hope you have a great week! =)

TABLESCAPE TUESDAY - HAPPY EASTER Tablescape
Hello there!
Welcome to another TABLESCAPE TUESDAY!
Today's Tablescape is my Easter Table.
We did not have Easter Dinner at our house this year. We ended up going to visit my mom for the weekend, and my brother and his family joined us at my mom's home for Easter Dinner.
However, that did not stop me from putting a simple Easter Table together to celebrate the fun season!
My color themes for April are Mint Green and Peach, and I found this adorable wrapping paper table runner which was my inspiration.
I also found this peach tablecloth and peach napkins at Goodwill for a fabulous price and that also fueled my inspiration.
I had not planned to do too much Easter with the table, until I got out this ADORABLE Spring Bunnies tea set! I found this at Goodwill and thought this would be a cute addition to the table. I'm not exactly sure how well this matches, but I really loved this cute tea set!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
I hope you were able to CELEBRATE! Not just the nicer weather or the chocolate bunnies, but also the wonderful Victory that Easter represents. The victory Jesus brought us when He died and rose again on the third day!!!!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great week and come back again soon!

TABLESCAPE TUESDAY - "Simply Spring" tablescape
Hi there!
How is your week going? I'm excited that the weather in the Midwest is warming up! Spring seems to be here at last!!! I couldn't be happier about that!!!
Today's TABLESCAPE TUESDAY showcases a simple spring tablescape. The week prior, I did a little more elaborate tablescape (that tablescape coming up on a future blog post) so I wanted this week to be something simple. We were having company over for an informal dinner, and they have a few little ones, so I wanted it to be simple yet colorful and fun!
I had seen a similar idea on Pinterest a while back and decided to give it a try. It was super easy to put together!
I found these spring daisies at Michaels for $1 each and thought they were so cute, so I stocked up! These are so versatile!
I also grabbed a few of my small glass tea light cylinders, and put them in between the flowers!
I also made my charger plates colorful in some of the same colors as the daisies
Then I just used white plates, white bowls and white napkins with multi-colored napkin rings
This is the finished result! It was very easy, and I love how fresh it felt, without being too elaborate!
I hope you enjoyed this TABLESCAPE TUESDAY! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
Have a great day!

MONTHLY MONDAY MANTLE - March Mantle
Ok.
Yes, I am SHAMEFULLY late in posting my March Mantle. A month and two days late to be exact! lol Life's been crazy busy around here, but hopefully you will be able to see some improvement in my mantle decorating over the last few months.
But, better late than never, right? So without further ado, here is my March Living room/Mantle!!!
I wanted to do the greens for St. Patrick's Day, but I didn't want to do too much of the traditional St. Patty's Day themes (i.e. shamrocks, lepruchauns, etc.) So I decided to go for a few shades of greens and just keep it kind of spring-like in nature.
As you can see, we STILL don't have a mirror up over the mantle yet, but I DID buy a new one that I'm just waiting for my hubby to install. However he did install the shadow boxes on the left side of the mantle, which I really like!
There are some new pieces this month to kind of fill out the room and I think they tie everything together nicely!
Let's start with the mantle!
On each edge of the mantle are these cute vases I got at Michaels for 40% off of $7.98. I thought that was an excellent buy so I snatched up two...one for each side!
Next to those are some cute little birdcage candleholders from Michael's that I set on top of my smaller white candleholders from Ikea.
At the base of those birdcage candles are a few little birdies I also found at Michaels for 50% off. Each one was like $1.50 and $2 depending on the size...I think they are super cute!!!
I also placed three green vases I found at Goodwill in a row and filled them each with a single carnation. I love the white flowers with the green!!!
Rounding out the mantle is a family photo on one side and a decorative rectangle plate on the other.
On each side of the fireplace are these beautiful tall vases that I found at Kirklands, I believe. I spray painted them white (because I could not find ANY tall vases like this in white ANYWHERE!)
In those tall vases, I put a bunch of tall flowering branches from Michaels (these were also 50% off!)
I was going to put them on top of those columns that you see in the corners of the room, but that just did not look right, so I placed a plant on top of the column on one side, and a green lantern thing on the other side, and I think it fills the room out nicely!
I like the way this turned out so much that I kind of want to leave it up longer...however EASTER is coming, so I will be changing my mantle soon for that wonderful Holiday!!!
I hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

TABLESCAPE TUESDAY! "Passion for Purple" Tablescape!
Hi everyone!
I hope you're having a great week! Has the weather been warming up where you are? We had a wonderful warm weekend. The kids got to go outside both days riding their bikes, scootering, and exploring the woods in our neighborhood! It was glorious both days this past weekend!
Well, for this TABLESCAPE TUESDAY, I decided to bring back one of my favorite colors before the spring hits and before March where I put up the St. Patrick's Day tablescape.
I am calling this one my "Passion for Purple" Tablescape!
I was able to find some lovely lavender ribbon and some lovely purple candles on mega clearance at Walmart last month, as well as some lavender ornaments, so I was really hoping to have the opportunity to include them in a tablescape.
I decided that this couple weeks after Valentine's Day, but before March 1st would be perfect timing to try it out.
I love purple and lavender together! It looks very elegant to me and this table made me think of spring and the warmer weather.
For the centerpiece I took a lavender placemat, set a new mirrored tray (Goodwill) on top and topped that with some dollar carnations, mixed with other dollar tree florals, in a pretty vase I got last year at a thrift store on a huge sale ($1.25 for that gorgeous thing...I bought 3...lol) Then along the bottom, I lined the tray with lavender ornaments...those clearance ones from Walmart!
Through the center of the table are the purple candles, also from Walmart, on Dollar Store candlesticks, and two white vases, both from Goodwill. I was going to put a single flower in each, but in the end, decided the flowers in the centerpiece were enough.
TABLESCAPE TUESDAY TIP - Here's a tip I saw on Pinterest that I really liked and that I used on this tablescape. Ribbon, strategically placed on your table, can create interest and a neat element to compliment the tablecloths. For this table, my hope was that it would tie in the solid tablecloths and kind of help add interest to any of those blank spaces on the solid tablecloths!
For the place settings, I used a purple charger from Michaels last year, my Dollar Tree white beaded plates, and my pretty white and purple floral plates, which were also a thrift store find last year. I love these plates!
Here it is all lit up for the evening.
I really enjoyed putting this table together! I hope you enjoyed looking at it, and hopefully you were able to find some inspiration for your table!
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week! =D
