THRIFT ADDICTION THURSDAY #2 - Shopping Haul!!

Hey there everyone!
Welcome to the second...
THRIFT ADDICTION THURSDAY!!!
I'm so excited to share my Shopping finds with you this week.

So, technically I didn't go thrift shopping, per se, but I did get some amazing finds at ROSS yesterday. Some of these were on clearance and some were not, but I am so happy with what I was able to find when I was there.
I was hoping to find really just 1 or 2 things while shopping yesterday, but I found a whole lot more than that!
The first find is these adorable little cupcake plates with a glass dome around them.

I had seen these before in several tablescapes and thought they were so cute, and really wanted to get some for myself. These ones are pretty small, enough to hold maybe 1 cupcake, an apple, or something like that, but I think they would look so cute on a tablescape with a little roll or something inside of it.
I looked around and they had only 3, but at $4.99, I thought that was a pretty good buy, so I snatched them up.  It was probably not the best deal, but it was worth it for me, because these were things I wanted to have a group of and it's a little harder to find a group of things like this at the thrift stores.

Sometimes, I'm learning, there are pieces that you may have to pay a little bit more, but it's an investment...because of the versatility of the item and how often you expect to use it.  That's what these (and the next finds) were to me!

My next finds were these adorable cupcake stands, also with the glass domes!

I had seen these on one of Nikki Boyd's blog videos (www.athomewithNikki.com) and I just loved them.  She showed some great ways to use these versatile cupcake stands on her Youtube video "Multi-Functional Accessories" (a previous "Fabulous Find" of mine from my "FIVE FABULOUS FINDS FRIDAY Posts!  It's a great video with some very creative ideas!)

These were so worth the $5.99 price tag to me!

I found 3 of them.... to make a total of 6 glass domes with plates and stands.

A very nice bonus...the domes with the plates and stands were the same size and look the same, and I noticed that the domes will cover other plates that I have as well, so they are really even more versatile!

Now I have a complete set of 6 domes which would be great for our Sunday Family Dinners if we invite 2 more family members (which is our plan, once a month)....or even for a nice Bible study breakfast or something like that.

I am very happy with these purchases!

Next up I found these very cute tall silver candle holders on clearance for $6.99 each.

I really wanted some tall silver candle- holders because they are such a versatile piece.

I like that they can hold pillar candles, a plate or a lot of other things, and I love the height of the tall candle stands!   Very striking!

I think they look very beautiful and just make a great addition to my collection!  I also liked that they were on SALE!

Next up, I found this really cute patterned tablecloth for $5.

When I don't have a fancy tablescape with a theme going on, my room is normally decorated in dark brown, beige and turquoise blues.  So, when I found this, I thought it would be the perfect addition to my dining room table when not making a themed tablescape.

I love how it incorporates the dark brown, blues, and beiges, in such a pretty pattern!

Well, that's it for Thrift Addiction Thursday!

Sorry I didn't have any actual thrift store bargains for you this week, but I'm hoping you might still be inspired by my shopping haul finds...and these are finds you might also be able to get at your local Ross store if you have one in your area!

Also, I am learning how to do a link party, and soon I will make Thrift Addiction Thursday a link party where we can all share our thrifty treasures!  I always love looking at what everyone gets for their home!  I will definitely keep you posted on this.

Thanks again so much for visiting and I would love to hear from you!  I'd also love for you to follow my blog if you like the posts you have seen here!

Also, if you are on Facebook, I would love for you to come by in like my Facebook Page!

Have a great day!

    1. Thanks Ricki! I'm really glad I got them...even if they were a little bit more pricey than I would have liked. I know they're going to be able to go on a lot of my tablescapes, so I guess I can justify it...haha! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

    1. Hiya Vicky! Yes, I am actually trying to curb MY spending too...but it didn't really work when I went to Ross that day...haha! All of the finds on this post were from Ross (or Ross Dress For Less) Normally I am at the thrift stores like Goodwill or Salvation Army getting things, but I promise my hubby that if I was able to get this stuff from Ross then I'd skip the thrift shopping that week! =D Hope you have a great weekend and thanks so much for taking the time to come to this little corner of the blogosphere! =D

  6. I love those candle sticks! Ross is very hit or miss for me. Sometimes I'll go in there and be like, "OMG! MUST BUY ALL THE THINGS!" and other times I'll stop in and everything looks like it got rejected from Wal-Mart for being too tacky.

    1. Hey Larks! Yes, I totally know what you mean. I have also had those times when it looked like there was just nothing there. Then other times (like this last trip) where I just found SO MANY CUTE THINGS...It was hard not to spend even more than I did! lol Thanks so much for coming by and for the nice comment! Come on by anytime! =D
